Look to the sky!

I step outside, eyes downcast.
Remembering the sorrows of my past.

I remember the pains of another day,
For some reason I can't get it to fade away.

I pause as I walk and take a moment to think,
I am on my knees before another blink.

I pray to my Father whom loves me,
I pray for His light to set me free!

A moment more passes and I sense calm.
Almost like on a wound has been poured some balm.

I say a word of thanks as the pain bids farewell,
I stand again to face the day and hear the bell.

The song of a bird passes by,
With a new joy I look to the sky!

With wondering hope and a prayerful cry,
I start again looking to the sky!

So, when life gets you down and blue,
And the dreary world covers your eyes with dew.

Drop to your knees with haste,
May the Lord then bless you, it's not a waste.

And then you will stand with a spirit high!
And then you will walk with your eyes looking to the sky!

Always I urge all people to try,
To, when they are down, look to the sky!
