Every person goes through a time in their life where they feel like they have hit the lowest they can go. They feel like they can't stand up again. When this time hits we have to be prepared and ready to make the next move to finding the way back on our feet. How do we do that? By turning to the Great Creator, our Savior, and our Heavenly Father who wish to help us in all of our troubles and trials.
One of my favorite prophets from the past says, "My God hath been my support; he hath led me though mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep." (2 Nephi 4:20) He wasn't kidding either, he literally went through those experiences where he had to totally rely on the Lord.
By trusting in the Lord He can lift us up to His height and "Consecrate thine afflictions for thy gain." (2 Nephi 2:2) This is the way to become like our Father in Heaven and our Savior. By struggling and overcoming we learn to love and find joy in the quiet moments of our lives. "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy." (2 Nephi 2:25) We will find the eternal quality of joy if we continue on and work to the goal always.
