Even the smallest light scares away the darkness.

Has it ever happened to you, the day you realized you were afraid of the dark? The fear of going to bed, because you don't know what may be hiding in the places you can't see. This is common in most if not all children. Their own personal monsters, waiting in the dark. Has it ever occurred to you that even as a teenager or an adult you still have those monsters waiting for you to make one wrong step? I know that at points in my life I have felt that same fear holding me back from something I really want to do.

Those monsters may come in many forms. We sometimes don't even recognize them as truly the monsters they are. But they are the things that hold you back from something you may have once loved to do, or they may keep you from moving forward with your life.

How do you overcome those monsters? With a light, lights keep the darkness the monsters are hiding in away. We can find this light in the form of the Scriptures, or in the act of a simple prayer for strength. Faith is the essential part of this. Without faith nothing can ever happen. It may seem too simple for it to really take effect, but in reality that's why it works. It is simple and easy to understand. All you have to do is try.

Look to the Light and Life of the World in Jesus Christ and you can and will have the strength to battle and overcome anything, even the monsters hiding in the dark, hoping to catch you off guard. Helaman 5:12 "And now, my sons, Remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwinds, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

The devil and his monsters can have no power over they who rely and love the Savior, up to doing all they are asked to do. May the light of Christ enter your lives and your faith continue to grow in its' glow.
